🍳 English Breakfast Recipe



 Ingredients (serves 1):


2 breakfast sausages


2 slices of bacon


1 egg


1 small handful of fresh spinach


2 slices of bread (for toast)


1 ripe tomato, sliced in half


Butter (for toast and cooking)


Salt and pepper, to taste


Optional: powdered sugar (for garnish, like in photo)


Tea and a biscuit for serving


Instructions:


Sausages & Bacon:


In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausages until browned and cooked through (about 10 minutes).


In the same pan, add the bacon and fry until crispy. Set aside.


Tomatoes & Spinach:


Grill or pan-fry the tomato halves cut-side down until slightly charred (about 2–3 minutes).


Quickly sauté the spinach in a little butter until wilted. Season lightly with salt.


Egg:


In a clean pan, cook the egg sunny-side-up in butter until the white is set and the yolk is still runny. Season with salt and pepper.


Toast:


Toast the bread slices until golden. Spread with butter while warm and slice diagonally.


Plating:


Arrange everything on a plate as in the photo. Optionally dust a tiny bit of powdered sugar over spinach and tomatoes for a styled touch.


Serve With:


A warm cup of black tea in a printed mug and a decorative shortbread cookie or biscuit.
