Sautéed Beef Liver with Peppers & Onions

Ingredients:

500g beef liver, thinly sliced

1 cup milk (for soaking)

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp butter (for extra richness)

Instructions:

Soak the Liver: Place the sliced liver in a bowl with milk and let it soak for 30-60 minutes to reduce the strong flavor. Drain and pat dry.

Sauté Onions & Peppers: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers, cooking until they soften. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Liver: Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sear the liver slices for about 2 minutes per side until browned but still tender inside.

Combine & Sauce: Return the onions and peppers to the pan. Add garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Finish & Serve: Add butter for a glossy finish, stir well, and serve hot with rice or mashed potatoes.
